The Ferrari 512 BB (Berlinetta Boxer) is a flat-12 mid-engine sports car produced from 1976 to 1984. Designed by Pininfarina, it succeeded the 365 GT4 BB and was Ferrari’s direct response to the mid-engine Lamborghini Countach.
Evolution & Models
- 512 BB (1976–1981): Introduced a enlarged 4.9 L flat-12 engine fed by four triple-choke Weber carburetors, producing 360 PS (265 kW; 355 hp).
- 512 BBi (1981–1984): Swapped carburetors for Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection to comply with cleaner emissions regulations, outputting 340 PS (250 kW; 335 hp).
