Audi Heritage
Audi was founded in 1909 by August Horch in Germany. The company became known for its innovative engineering and high-quality automobiles. In 1932, Audi joined with Horch, DKW, and Wanderer to form Auto Union, represented by the famous four-ring logo, with each ring symbolizing one of the four companies.
After World War II, Audi was revived and continued developing advanced vehicles. In 1965, the Audi brand was reintroduced, and over the following decades it became a global leader in luxury cars and automotive technology. Audi is especially known for its quattro all-wheel-drive system, introduced in 1980, which revolutionized performance and rally racing.
Today, Audi is one of the world’s leading premium automobile manufacturers. Its heritage is built on innovation, precision engineering, and the brand’s famous motto, “Vorsprung durch Technik” (“Progress Through Technology”).
